Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Regulatory Training Course

This training course gives NWT Board Forum members an overview of the environmental impact assessment and regulatory system in the Northwest Territories, and of the land claims and legislation it rests on.

The course runs for about 90 minutes and is made up of eight modules:

• Land Claims and Legislation
• Integrated Resource Co-Management and Consultation / Engagement
• Projects and Developments within the NWT
• Environmental Impact Assessment
• Land Use Permitting and Water Licensing in the Mackenzie Valley
• Tlicho Highway Case Study
• Closing exercise
